NDC TELLS LIES - KONADU

Former first lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings says all that the Mahama-led National Democratic Congress (NDC) government is interested in is to package lies and sell them to Ghanaians with intent to continue in office.

She said the ‘unprecedented’ infrastructural development claims by President John Mahama cannot be true because the realities on the ground tell a different story altogether.

Mrs. Rawlings, who has filed to contest in the December 7 presidential election on the ticket of the National Democratic Party (NDP), said on   Class FM in Accra yesterday, “I don’t see what the president is talking about because he is lying to us and we won’t accept it.”

According to Mr. Rawlings, Mahama’s NDC administration has mismanaged the economy, stressing that there is widespread corruption in the country.

“I saw them (government) commissioning a school in Derma (Brong-Ahafo). The population in Derma is not more than 300 people (but) the school that has been put there can house over 5,000 people. Is that what you want your monies to be used for?” she questioned.

She said the NDP, which she formed out of the ruling NDC, would cause a major upset in the general election, saying they were determined to break the two-party hegemony which has been on the political landscape for a very long time.
